Survey confirms renderings are a hit!
An intriguing inside look at the service that helps dealers close the sale
PHILADELPHIA, PA (April 15, 2013) – Are you still using stock photos for your presentations? Looking for a fresh and stimulating alternative to photography? Look no further! RSC’s superior Photo-quality renderings can accurately depict your client’s needs and get you the results you’re looking for.
By showcasing the layout and features of a proposed design, photo-quality renderings play a major role in collaborating with and closing the sale with clients. They also make it possible to make design related decisions well before the product is actually built; this makes experimenting with room design and visual aspects limitless.
Last month, RSC polled dozens of clients and determined that renderings overwhelmingly added value to the project. In 65% of the cases, the use of renderings contributed to dealers being short-listed and/or ultimately awarded the project.
Mary Carter, Director of Design for MOI said: “I just love the quality of renderings we get from RSC. Most of all I love the fast turnaround since we are always working under such tight timeframes. The renderings are often a last thought and we need them quick. RSC has always been able to deliver…and sometimes even earlier than expected.â€
The statistics below “speak for themselvesâ€:
Percentage of RSC clients who were short-listed and/or awarded the project: 65%
Percentage of projects on which renderings were not used by the dealers’ competition: 80%
“Our job is to put our clients in the best possible position to win the project†says Erik Rothbard, VP of Sales & Marketing for RSC. Erik adds “We do everything in our power to make sure the response is in on-time and quality presentational material is returned. We feel vested in every project we work on. It’s that level of dedication that our client’s appreciate and why they keep coming back to usâ€
Drawing within AutoCAD while using a combination of specification software programs such as CAP, Project Matrix & CET, RSC has the ability to work with just about any manufacturers’ symbols in order to showcase product in a photorealistic environment. This means dealers and manufacturers can feature their products in virtually any decor, location, lifestyle or setting. Because renderings are more efficient, both in dollars and headaches, they’re the industry standard and required necessity with professionals in multiple industries, from office furniture and architecture to real estate development and home building.
Building a traditional mock-up can cost anywhere from $3,000 to $30,000 and can take weeks to create. Renderings, on the other hand, start at around $150 and can be completed the same day. Similarly, eleventh-hour changes that would normally send production teams and budgets into a tailspin are simplified in the controlled environment. RSC features four types of rendering layouts: whitespace, environment, close-up and architectural layouts. The process of completing a rendering starts with the client emailing their AutoCAD file with a list of finishes. RSC then creates a preliminary image to be reviewed and commented on and after any necessary adjustments are made, a final high resolution image is sent to the client.
Trevor Bailey, a Rendering Specialist with RSC, explains, “My team and I rely heavily on communicating with our clients throughout the entire process. We like to be completely accessible via phone and email. Whether it’s a last minute product change, or the designer doesn’t like how their finishes are working together, we can easily make the changes and quickly confirm everything back to the client. This is all part of the rendering process.â€
In addition to traditional renderings, RSC also offers 3D animation videos. Animations are an important sales tool due to their unique viewpoint in displaying product. With a rotating surface and equal rotation points, these presentations instantly capture visually stimulating images that are sure to WOW clients. They increase customer satisfaction and confidence while giving a better understanding and perspective of the product being proposed. Animations can be viewed on all major browsers and mobile platforms.
